Christian employee refuses to secularize Christmas, gets fired

In Panama City, Counts Oakes Resort Properties owner Andy Phillips issued an order for personnel to greet people by saying "Happy Holidays."
Tonia Thomas, a devout Christian, asked for permission to say "Merry Christmas" instead. Phillips told her, "No, you have to greet them with happy holidays." Thomas replied, "I just simply can't do that. That just goes against my religious beliefs to secularize Christmas in the time of this season."
Phillips then fired her on the spot. As Thomas was getting her purse Phillips was on the phone calling the police.
And then as she was leaving the property Phillips said, "Now we're going to have a merry Christmas. What about you, now that you no longer have a job?"
