A direct quote from a letter rec'd on 12/14/09 by a colleague from PA Senator Arlen Specter:
"I am personally opposed to abortion. However, I do not believe that this is an issue that should be controlled by the Federal government."
Yet, Specter voted to table the Nelson-Hatch-Casey Amendment that would have kept the Federal government from requiring us to pay for abortions.
You figure it out!
